About the Shows

The Good Times Show has been entertaining senior residents in the Washigton D.C. metropolitan area since 1999.  We provide a one hour sing along session with live music at independent and assisted living facilities, nursing homes and retirement communities. The Good Times Show also performs musical concerts for holidays, special events, happy hours and outdoor parties.  Our goal is to use music to provide a stimulating and therapeutic experience for the residents and their visitors.

Rob "Powerhouse" Johnson originally teamed with his dad, ukulele strumming Bob Johnson to form the Bob & Rob Show. The singing duo became a favorite at many area retirement homes.  Since the passing of Bob Johnson in October 2004, Rob is continuing the tradition of the show in his father's memory.  The act now consists of a trio consisting of Rob on vocals and percussion, "Philly" George on guitar, banjo and piano and Spencer on clarinet.  Riffin' Rick,  on electric guitar, provides the fourth piece for special events.  The band performs familiar tunes that the residents can sing and dance to.  We provide shakers and other percussion instruments so the audience can participate in keeping the beat.  Our repertoire includes such standards as:

Folsom Prison Blues (Johnny Cash Tribute)
Sentimental Journey
Love Potion Number 9
Yesterday
Route 66 (Tribute to Bobby Troup)
